What time tracking in casse can do.

It is all in the Personal module, with Austria's statutory public holidays already in place.

  • Stempeluhr at the Kassa

Everyone clocks Kommen, Pause and Gehen with their own PIN. The Kassa stays signed in, and nobody has to switch.

  • Clocking in by phone

A tablet on site shows a QR code; your team scans it with their own phone and clocks in under My account. No GPS tracking, and you decide where clocking happens.

  • Urlaub and Krankenstand

Your team requests Urlaub, Zeitausgleich or Krankenstand in casse, you approve or decline, and the person gets a message. During Krankenstand nobody clocks in, and health data is visible only to those with the right to see it.

  • Soll, Ist and Saldo

The Arbeitszeitmodell holds the Soll per weekday, fixed or with Gleitzeit, and the Saldo keeps running. Urlaub, Krankenstand and public holidays count as worked, and night hours are shown separately.

  • Notes under the Arbeitszeitgesetz

casse flags missing breaks, rest periods that are too short and days or weeks that are too long, citing the section of the law. The notes block nothing, and if you wish, casse adds the break under § 11 AZG by itself.

  • Reports for payroll

You print the Stundennachweis for signing, plus Excel files for payroll and the labour inspectorate. A correction never deletes: the old entry stays visible, with name and reason.

Setting up time tracking.

  1. Add your people

Enter name, type of employment and Arbeitszeitmodell, plus a Stempel-PIN per person. Anyone who should clock in by phone or request Urlaub gets a login.

  2. Set the Stempelstelle

You decide on which device clocking happens: at the Hauptkassa, on a tablet or via the Stempel-QR.

  3. Check at month end

The assistant shows what does not add up, such as a day without an entry. Then you put out the report, printed or as Excel.

Frequently asked questions.

Is Arbeitszeiterfassung mandatory in Austria?Show answer

For employers, yes: the Arbeitszeitgesetz requires records of the hours worked (§ 26 AZG). casse keeps every entry, and a correction deletes nothing; the old entry stays visible with name and reason.

How do my Mitarbeiter clock in?Show answer

On a device you set as the Stempelstelle, such as the Hauptkassa: type in their own PIN, then Kommen, Pause or Gehen. Or with their own phone and login via the QR code that a tablet on site shows.

How does my team request Urlaub?Show answer

In casse under My account: choose the type, from and to, and send the request. You approve or decline, and casse keeps track of the legal entitlement: five weeks a year, six from the 26th year of service.

How do the hours get to payroll?Show answer

As Excel: an overview with the hours per person and the Stundennachweis per person. For the labour inspectorate there is a separate file with the daily times and the notes under the AZG.

Does the time tracking suit hospitality?Show answer

Yes. A night shift stays one working day, Sunday and public holiday hours are shown separately, and for split shifts you set the daily rest period to 8 hours, as § 12 (2a) AZG allows in hospitality. casse also keeps the Trinkgeld per person.
